Yeast!

I successfully made a yeast coffee cake yesterday. I was so proud of myself. I tried to make it somewhat healthy by slipping in some whole wheat flour, wheat germ and ground flax, which changed the taste a little, but with the cup of brown sugar and butter crumbled on the top it wasn't noticed.

I think I have figured out the best way to use yeast with my food processor. The trick is to mix the yeast with the liquid before hand, not put the yeast in with the dry ingredients like my book says.

I don't know why I was so afraid of yeast before. Once tamed it is a great cooking tool.
